Lake Success, NY- A police investigation into a fatal crash involving tennis star Venus Williams faults the tennis star for the accident that killed a 78-year-old man and injured his wife. In response to the report, the family of the deceased filed a lawsuit.
Police Reports Says Williams to Blame
The police report, obtained by CNN, cites Williams for violation the right of way when she struck a car carrying two people. The car Williams hit suffered extensive damage on the passenger side and critically injured both occupants.
Williams’ defense says she was only traveling at five mph and had a green light at the time of the crash. She also said she did not see the car when the accident occurred.
