The first tragic collision occurred at 11:15 p.m. and resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on I-805,
A little while later, a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and a Mercedes left the drivers of both vehicles dead. Neither driver had passengers.
Later, one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the northern part of the county. The driver ran off the road and was discovered dead in his vehicle around 3:00 am.
Hours later around 8:00 a.m., NBC San Diego reports that a 20-year-old woman struck a disabled delivery truck parked on the side of Scripps Poway Parkway. She was killed and her 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured. The driver of the delivery truck was also injured.
